I've never used a power recliner..since it has a motor, does it need to be plugged into outlet for power ? Also what happens if motor goes out? Can you no longer recline ?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, power cord included and would need to be plugged into an outlet for use. Battery back up is not available for this recliner and will not work if there is a power outage.
