I think it depends on his body proportion and weight distribution. I'm 5'7" 280lbs. I'm heavy in the waist and chest. Hardly any butt. When reclined my heels barely reach the foot rest and there is less than 2" clearance each side at the hip. Your man is likely to fit snug in the seat with feet dangling over the foot rest. The chair motors are likely to strain when lifting 350lbs which may shorten their life.

Hi. I am sorry I cannot truly answer that but my brother is 6’ y’all and about 275. He has been sleeping in the chair fir abou 10 months and really enjoys the chair. We also got one for my wife that she needed to help her during her injury of her back. She stated it was a great chair for her to sleep in since she had a hard time sleeping in the bed.

I wouldn't consider myself handy or anything, but it went together perfectly and not hard at all. It was quite heavy, making it stable and well built, but I had help getting it in. It was packaged very carefully so nothing would get damaged in delivery. Very happy all around!

Hi Marlene. The recliner was very easy to put together. My son and I were able to slide and snap the parts in very easily. My brother had one and we tried his after shopping around and are very pleased with the chair and glad we bought the same one my brother had.

Assembly requires moderate lifting effort to attach the chair back and then one section to each side of the chair back. There are metal guides to lock each piece in place. If you can lift and carry a 4yr old child you can do this.

BEST ANSWER: yes, I think it is. My Dad got the same chair and he's at least 6'4" However, his feet do stick over the edge a bit, but he doesn't mind it.

My sister is 5'11" and she just fits in the chair with her ankles going past the foot rest when it's up. She says it's super comfortable though, and she likes that she can control the foot rest separate from the back! I hope this helps. My Stepdad is 6ft. and he loved it too!

My question is about color? I saw this chair in the store and it was definitely not the same color as in the online picture. Both colors were called "Saddle", but the one in the store was much lighter and very orangey not at all as brown and dark as in the online picture. I love the one in the picture and the online special is much better than the store price, but an orangish chair is not at all what I want. Thanks for any input!

I, too, saw the less expensive price on line. However, it was going to take several weeks to be delivered. My husband was so ill, I needed the chair right away. My chair is a medium tan. There is no orangey look to it. It is not as dark as the one pictured on line. It is a pretty nice chair, especially considering the price. Hope this helps you decide.

I just saw the chair in store and like Vicki, the in store color was not like the photo, much lighter and golden tan, rather than a rich brown. The black has a lighter stitch color that stands out against the black, which I don’t care for. So determining whether the saddle will work with the rest of the leather colors in the room.
Just saw that someone posted a photo of it, which is the color I saw in store.
We ordered ours online and it looks like the one that is pictured. It is brown, but if you are trying to match a burgundy or pinkish decor. I think it would clash, as it leans more to a golden brown, It worked perfectly for us, since our decor is neutral, with an oak floor.

No not a separate headrest from the back, the entire back goes back to a sleeping incline or straight up. A little neck pillow is helpful. It is comfortable for sleeping. The leg part of the mechanism is really great at getting you straight up. The arms are large and comfortable. However, for some body types, the width of the chair (because the arms are so comfy and large) and the length of the leg extension might not be adequate. A large bed pillow tucked under your legs during sleep works wonders. If you are just using it to relax, I think it's fine! It fulfilled the reason I needed it after my surgery and I am glad that I have it. Good price too.

No the headrest doesn't have any power to it. I am disabled and can't sleep in my bed anymore, but I love my lift chair. It is very comfortable and easy to sleep in. I would definitely recommend this lift chair.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, just fine. As a matter of fact the biggest issue may be for smaller, shorter people needing to position themselves as far back as possible before reclining - elsewise they may have insufficient lower back support. 200 pounds well below the chair's capacity.

This recliner not only has a large right side pocket, but the attached remote has a USB port. The only drawback to this chair is that the footrest is too low. It is at about a 70° angle and its highest point. so my legs are always going downhill and I sometimes feel like I’m going to slide off the chair because it is leatherette.

The recliner goes almost flat with just a slight incline. It is a great recliner/lift chair. I sleep in it because I can't sleep in my bed anymore. I am 83 years old. I have been sleeping in it for about 3 years.

I believe there are two and they re in one enclosure. One raises and lowers the chair, if you keep pressing the same button the foot rest rises and lowers. The foot rest rises and lowers before the chair itself raises and lowers. Then there is probably a separate motor that reclines the chair back and raises it back to an upright position. Also the chair has a place near the motor housing to put two 9 volt batteries. This will operate the chair one cycle in the event of a power failure. My chair is in brown and seems to wipe clean easily. I hope this helps.

I am not sure. It looks like leather and has held up well. Our problem was that my husband was tall and his feet weren't supported by the chair. I had to improvise. All and all the chair is okay.

Dunno, but it's quite nice for a synthetic (pleather). Not at all plasticky, not slippery. Seems breathable but at least water resistant - spills are no issue. Very sensible choice.

Does not have massage... but is a great lift.chair. We liked it so much we went and ordered a 2nd one for our summer home. Both of ours are the brown. The fabric is the closest I’ve ever seen to leather-like... and very durable.

perfect recliner for me
i am 64 years old, young still to some people, but my health has gone all to hell. type 2 diabetes, insulin shots, 12 different pills and neuropathy in my feet. this chair lifts me up to were i don't have to push myself up to stand up. reclines to however far back you want to go and near recline flat. perfect sleeping condition. comfortable. now some people says be nice if the foot rest would raise a little higher, which would be nice, but it is comfortable, not hard and can be tolerated, back and foot rest raises and lowers separately, which is great. i be 5'11" tall and my feet hang over the foot rest which is not bothersome, not for me anyhow. five year extended warranty is well worth the price. anyway i have feel madly in love with this recliner.

Not for tall men
I am so disappointed with this chair. I got it for my father, who is a stroke victim. We had a lift chair but it was old and needed to be replaced. Def not for tall people he is 5'11 and his feet hang off and he cannot sit back in the chair he is constantly sliding we have to put him up so he can move his rear back .... not what we expected

Functional and Attractive
Attractive and comfortable. It doesn't look like an "old person's" medical chair. I love the color too. ITS NOT GRAY! It's a Carmel brown. It goes well with our cream colored leather sofa and red loveseat.

Great chair, good instructions, so easy to assemble.
Comfortable, easy to use and clean, a good fit for a 6'2" man. And, soooo simple to put together! I'm a 77 years young woman who bought this and put it together with no help. Truly a wonderful gift for my husband.

Working well so far
The chair seems to working well for my father. My only trouble with it was delay of delivery(and to be honest not the fault of the company but the fault of COVID) and trouble finding the assembly instructions. If you buy, check the pockets of the chair for assembly instructions. I had to go online to get assembly instructions and found them later tucked away in the pocket of the chair(I looked all over the chair and box for them but never thought to look in the pocket of the chair--DUH)

good chair could be great if foot rest came up to level with chair
like every thing about the chair but the foot rest, it does not come up far enough to be level with chair bottom leaves you feel like you're sliding forward out of chair a little, don't if this can be adjusted but would a great chair if it could

I bought this chair for my elderly father as a birthday gift. He claims it is the best chair he has ever had. He isn't as mobile as he once was, so this makes it a lot easier for him to get up and back on his feet.

Great chair
Love chair. The delivery guy never called to say he had dropped it. The chair was backed into as no one knew it was right up against garage door. Luckily, neither the car or chair were damaged.

This chair is amazing. The motor is completely silent, what a surprise! It is very substantial and solid.
The comfort is good with the foot rest operating independ of back which turns out is one of the most appreciated features.

Chair was just what we needed!
I bought this for my husband when he had to have a temporary hip placed. His Physical therapist did not like the recliner we had. It has been the perfect resolve for his situation. He just had his third and final hip placed on the same side and it has been the best piece of furniture in our house. It works smoothly and the material is very handsome and sturdy. I am sure he would recommend it for anyone facing problems getting in and out of a chair!

It leans forward causing me to slip downward
This chair doesn't get the feet up high enough to prevent one from sliding downward. It also doesn't help to keep the feet from swelling because the leg rest doesn't go up high enough or the seat doesn't tilt back....only the back rest moves back but the seat stays the same. I have to sleep in my chair because of my health so having the chair leaning forward causes me to slide down during the night. I wonder if it would cause too much stress on the motor if I put a block under the legs to lift the seat up so I'm not sliding out?
I do wish it wasn't so slow in lifting and going back down also. I understand why but it would be nice if it were a little bit faster.
I do like the chair tho, even with those two problems. They may not be a problem for others, but they are for me.

Overall am very pleased with my purchase.
What made me choose this recliner was that you could raise the foot rest without having to recline. Also that it has a battery backup in case of any power outage. If I had to come up with a con, it would be that my feet hang off the foot rest and I am a short person. 5'1"". Might not be the best choice for a tall person. Also I love the feaux leather but it seems to make you hot if you sit there too long..

Very good product
We are very satisfied, it looks stunning in our dining room. And the lift really helps our elderly mom to stand without little assistance. And the sale price was great. I was a little upset when I noticed that it was unassembled, some people may not have had a grandson to handle that, as we did. I would recommend this product.

The Perfect Power Lift Recliner Chair
I brought this power lift recliner for comfort. What I love about this chair, is that it recline all the way back like a bed; remote light up and it has a usb attachment for my phone or iPad. I love it! I would recommend this chair; buy it; you will love it.

Did not fit me.

Lift chair
I bought this chair online for my husband. He loves the chair. The only thing he wishes the chair had was that the foot rest would go a little higher. The chair had to be put together, but was not difficult to do. Overall pleased with the chair so far.

Good Recliner Chair
My Husband loved it, he did not care too much for the power chairs, but
it helps him getting out of it & sleeping when he wants to. The material of the chair he has to get use to, but the price was great.

Pleased with our purchase for a reasonable price.
It's a good looking and comfortable chair. My 80 year old, 200 lb. husband had difficulty getting up and out of his once favorite chair, but now with the power lift he finds it easy to stand up. (Our son had no trouble putting it together.)

Mother-in-law loves this lift recliner
My in-laws and I decided to buy this recliner for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. Our plans to have family members to travel from Chicago to Mississippi for her 80th surprise birthday party and present the recliner as a gift were ruined due to COVID-19, but this lift recliner did NOT disappoint. We had also planned to have a few family members to test the chair prior to buying it, but it was impossible due to COVID-19.
We took a chance and ordered it online. The lift recliner arrived in a few days, delivery was free, and the recliner was easy to assemble. My mother-in-law loves this lift recliner and it allows her to stand up with ease. She says it is very comfortable and she falls asleep in it. Every
time I call her, she expresses her gratitude for the recliner and how she loves the lift and remote. This is my first purchase from Ashley's but I look forward to visiting the showroom to look for other furniture.

Everything I was promised and expected.
Arrived on time, single box - it's heavy! UPS driver was very happy to coincidentally run into another driver who helped him get it up to my second floor apartment. Asked if they could help get it where it will be unboxed - very nice. Unboxing wasn't unnecessarily difficult but did take some effort in a small space. The box was beat-up but no damage to the chair at all. Assembly was a cinch - perhaps ten minutes at best. The chair is comfortable and sturdy. Perhaps, just maybe, the standing function could rise a bit higher. The texture of the "faux" pleather is not at all offputting. Everything seems to be well designed and manufactured. My cell phone does not play nice with the supplied charger - apparently incompatible due to insufficient amperage. Not an issue. Overall very happy, especially at the price.

I would purchase again.
Purchased chair based on reviews and am not disappointed. Material looks like weathered leather and feels like cloth. It’s very comfortable. I could easily sleep in it it feels so good. Like that both back and footrest adjusts separately. I purchased saddle color and it’s true to color.
