Product Care
Mattresses:
Rest easy with the fact that your Ashley-Sleep® mattress doesn’t require much care and maintenance. For starters, all Ashley-Sleep mattresses are designed to be no flip—now isn’t that a relief!
How to Care for Your Mattress:
- To help keep your Ashley-Sleep mattress clean, a thin mattress protector is recommended so it breathes to allow airflow and heat dissipation. Ashley-Sleep does not recommend you use a quilted mattress pad as it will change the feel of the mattress you selected at the store. It may also trap heat that needs to escape.
- Don’t use dry cleaning fluid of any type on your mattress. These chemicals could damage some of the comfort and upholstery materials.
- Vacuuming is the only recommended cleaning method. If you must clean a stain, use mild soap with cold water and apply lightly, allowing the mattress time to fully air dry.
- Please remind the kids not to jump on their Ashley-Sleep mattress, as doing so can break down the inner construction and materials.

My dad and his wife both own tempurpedics and have for over a decade. He also keeps memory foam mattresses in the guest bedrooms/rv, but aftermarket brands not tempur. I fell in love with the one in the rv even though it's just a cheap knock off. That got the ball rolling as far as mattress shopping goes. I knew I wanted a firm tempurpedic, and the timing of my purchase just happened to coincide with the recent release of the Proadapt line. The company doesn't release new technology with every mattress, but with the Proadapts, 5 years of research and development went into creating the APR(advanced pressure relief) material. I was pretty much sold right away and after trying them all out I was torn between the medium and firm. The medium is much more soft, and not in a gradual way. I wish there was more of a middle ground between the two models. I also wish they used a thicker layer of the APR material in the firm since the mattress is expensive like a car and when the room is colder, takes longer to adjust because of all the rigid layers of base foam. That would be my only complaint. It feels kinda like a cost savings strategy, and I really don't like the incredibly thick layers of immediate response rigid/hard foam. I digress. Other than that production cost-savings complaint, I love the mattress. Feels luxurious and very supportive and I look forward to going to bed every night now. I have a torn rotator cuff from work so it's imperative I sleep ergonomically.
I would recommend an ergo base to go with any temper mattress because it transforms your bed into the biggest and best chaise ever. Ashley's offers excellent financing options if you qualify. I put some money down right away, and pay less than the price of a pizza once a month. My apprehension because of the cost has melted away and been replaced by a deep appreciation for being able to understand the benefits of owning a quality bed. Buy the best bed you can afford. You deserve it.
