My son needs some extra storage and this trunk will work in his bedroom and transition to a nice living room piece when he moves out.

Can it be used to sit on?

Does this match any end tables?
BEST ANSWER: I think it would as long as the tables are dark wood. I have it in a room with a mission style end table and a traditional cabinet with rod iron handles. This is a solid piece of furniture.

Does the lid stay open by itself so you can display blankets?
BEST ANSWER: The hinged top can remain up when opened all the way.

I love it!!
