We purchased the same style of furniture back in 2012 but it was the sectional with footrest. After 8 years it was still in great shape. Very easy. My husband is 81 and weak from advanced stage of emphysema. He has no problem at all, including putting down which is where most people have trouble. You can get electric attachment for raising and lowering, but we haven't felt the need.

It is easy to recline but it does require some strength to get out of the reclining position since you have to push down with your legs to get the footrest down. I wish it had come with a handle. That is my only con to this beautiful recliner.

I am 73 and have no trouble reclining it using the button on the side. Getting the foot rest down is not easy and I have to standup keeping my legs against the footrest and then once standing turn and push it in with my hands.

This is not leather, however very hard to tall. It is a special fabric that is pet friendly, which is why i purchased the entire set. Very Comfortable, love the rocker recliner....

Does this chair have multi recline positions, or is it up or recline only? I have a chair that reclines but you have to put continuous weight back & it folds back up constantly.

Yes it is and it is very comfortable and good quality. I actually bought it for myself, I am 5'3" and although it is comfortable it is a little too big for me. My husband is 6'3" and it is a good size for him. Eventually I will hand this one over to him and get me something smaller!! But for now, I am enjoying it.

Description says it requires a 32” doorway clearance. Is this unassembled? Is there a way to squeeze it through a smaller doorway? Trying to put it in a room with a 30” door opening. Ideas?

There is a way to take off the back of the chair from the seat and that should be able to fit through the door a bit better. I have pasted the link to the assembly instructions down below. Thank you, Kaelan.

I got 2 recliners through a 30 inch door opening but they were disassembled and moved by professional movers. They also got the matching couch in too. Good luck.

BEST ANSWER: It’s surprisingly easy. Most mud / dirt can be easily wiped off with a damp rag & pet hair with a lint roller.

If you get it treated with stain guard, probably would be fine. We have it in our Zen Den at the office, so no pets or kids. Stays pretty clean for us.

It’s a must buy!!!
I looked at countless furniture stores for a recliner. I was willing to spend about $500 but not $1,000. This is the one I ended up buying... This recliner is AMAZING!! It’s the most comfortable chair I’ve ever owned. It looks great and the material is very cozy. I love that it rocks as well as reclines. Shipping was fast and easy. Can’t recommend this enough.

My new favorite seat
Chair is a nice size and super comfy. 4-star rating due to me having to oil the springs to stop a slight squeak when rocking. I’ve had the chair for only a couple of weeks. Other than that seems pretty sturdy and like it will last a while.

Beautiful Chair
This is a beautiful chair and very comfortable. The only issue I have is I can not close down the footrest with my legs. I have to standup keeping my legs against the footrest and then turn and push it in by hand, it is very stiff and will not close using legs. I hope it just stiff from being new and will in time loosen up. It is part of the love seat and chair I purchased 2 years ago and still matches well.

I love this recliner.
I was worried that it would be too big for my small living room, but it's just the right size. As far as comfort, I couldn't be happier. I'm 5'7" with back problems, and this recliner fits me perfectly. I paid a little more than I had hoped, but I don't regret it at all.

My 92 yr old father LOVES his new recliner!
For Father's Day my 2 siblings and myself were racking our brains trying to find a gift for Dad... We finally decided on a recliner. We needed a solid, secure recliner that our 92 yr old Dad could easily get in and out of and easily open and close foot rest. This recliner surpasses all our expectations! I already have a Bladen couch in the room where I wish to put the recliner. I have another make of recliner in the room and I had to replace that recliner. I have ordered furniture from Ashley Furniture before and I appreciate their professionalism.

We purchased the same style of furniture back in 2012 but it was the sectional with footrest. After 8 years it was still in great shape. Other than minor wear the furniture was in great working condition. We wanted to change to different furniture due to living space in our new home. We decided that this was the best choice.

BEST ANSWER: I bought the sofa from this set over two years ago. I have three dogs ranging from 55 to 85 pounds, two of which like to dig to get comfortable. There is one small scratch from their nails, and that's it. It's held up so well, I purchased the recliner a month or so ago.

I have a Jack Russell terrier that jumps up and onto the recliner all the time and I have had no issues with tearing or scratches on the upholstery.

I am 74 years old and pushing the footrest back in place does require more strength than I have.

Very easy. My husband is 81 and weak from advanced stage of emphysema. He has no problem at all, including putting down which is where most people have trouble. You can get electric attachment for raising and lowering, but we haven't felt the need.

It is easy to recline but it does require some strength to get out of the reclining position since you have to push down with your legs to get the footrest down. I wish it had come with a handle. That is my only con to this beautiful recliner.

I am 73 and have no trouble reclining it using the button on the side. Getting the foot rest down is not easy and I have to standup keeping my legs against the footrest and then once standing turn and push it in with my hands.

He won't be able to keep it reclined back laying down. I have s hard time and I'm 36 and son us 14... Wish I can get something else...

BEST ANSWER: Oh yes. My husband is 6' at 275 lbs and has no problems with the chair. It's super comfortable too.
