What Size is a Bed Bunk Mattress?
In the past, bunk beds could only hold twin mattresses. But today’s new styles feature both twin and full mattresses, and combinations thereof! A twin over full bunk bed features a twin mattress as the top bunk and a full mattress on the bottom. This type of bunk bed is perfect for kids who have a wide gap in age or have different bed needs. If you have an only child, this type of bunk is also perfect if your child wants a fun day bed that they can display toys and pillows on. Full over full bunk beds and twin over twin bunk beds are classic options featuring bunks made of the same size. These space-saving beds are great for children to grow into. But remember the Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that top bunks should not be used for children under 6 years of age.
