  Position Purpose: We are actively seeking Programmer/Developer - Business Intelligence in our Arcadia, WI or Ecru, MS facilities. This position plays an integral role in Ashley Furniture Industries future success in meeting our customers’ needs and our continued growth.
     
  Required Experience: 2 to 5 years
     
  Necessary Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in one of the following technologies: .Net, SQL, HighJump, PowerBuilder, RPG, BIDS, Report Builder 2.0/3.0, or MDX Programming
  • Knowledge and discipline to document processes and applications
  • Effective time management, interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Be willing to gain understanding of internal processes in areas of development work (Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering, Accounting Retail Sales, Wholesales Sales Business)
     
  Essential Functions:
  • This position will work to program corporate applications. This will include program and application design and development.
  • Design, code, and test simple to complex programs to completion in one or more of the following languages (.Net, SQL, High Jump, PowerBuilder, or RPG, related scripting and job control languages, or other languages as required).
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and documents user requests for new and modified systems and programs which may leverage existing technologies or incorporate new technologies that need to be researched and evaluated. Designs systems in collaboration with user.
  • Creates project plans including task, time, costs and resource estimates. Manages projects to completion.
  • Assists other development specialists and users in the resolution of problems related to the development, correct operation, and maintenance of the programs and business solutions.
  • Follows departmental methodologies, standards and procedures for documentation, problem-solving, time reporting and project management.
